Personal Profile

Hello! My name is Zoë. I am fascinated by corporate identity signaling, from brand use of music to corporate political activism, and how consumers respond to such signaling using their own identities.
I graduated from La Sierra University in Riverside, Southern California, with a B.S. in Marketing and a B.A. in Music. During that time, I co-founded a concert production company for new works of contemporary chamber music, I performed the premiere of a double-harp concerto, and I worked frequently as a gig harpist. I graduated with an M.B.A. from the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University with a concentration in the management of media, entertainment, and the performing arts. When my undergraduate senior honors thesis was accepted to a conference and later published as a book chapter, it sparked my interest in a career in research. I went on to earn a PhD in Marketing, Consumer Behavior concentration, at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business.
I bring my passion for music and technical expertise to my research, which explores brand use of music and consumer responses, even responses beyond the brand relationship.
I am a Clinical Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
